DART GEC II Team; Dallas, Texas
Project Description:
Hayden Consultants, Inc. is part of the ACT-21 Team for the General Engineering Consultant II (GEC II) for Dallas Area Rapid Transit light rail (LRT), commuter rail, and transit facility design. Hayden Consultants’ role in the project includes track engineering: the design of horizontal and vertical track alignment and associated track details and charts. Hayden Consultants also provided utility coordination and design of over 25,000 linear feet of water and wastewater pipelines that were impacted by the proposed rail alignment. The project includes rail alignments for LRT and commuter rail, as well as design of park and ride facilities and other transit facilities. The project began in June 2002 and will continue for a period of 5-8 years.
